Make an account on a phone number that has never had Uber, put $20 or more of food in the cart, and the Promotion line at checkout shows the $15 off before you pay. If it doesn't, the reasons are further down, and the first one is almost always the answer.

Uber Eats promo codes for existing users
Same story as DoorDash: Uber doesn't publish codes for existing accounts, and the ones floating around are recycled new-user codes. What works on an account that's ordered before:
- The Deals tab. Bottom of the app. Buy-one-get-one and percentage-off deals at nearby restaurants. These are personal and change often.
- Uber One's free month. If you've never had it, the trial wipes delivery fees and takes a cut off eligible orders. Cancel before it bills from Account, then Uber One. Details below.
- The win-back offer. Go quiet for a few weeks and an in-app banner with a percentage off tends to show up.
- Pickup. No delivery fee, no service fee, and Uber Eats sometimes runs a pickup discount at participating places.

How to make an Uber Eats promo code apply
- Tap Account, then Promotions, then Add promo code. Do this before you check out. Codes typed in the checkout box fail more often than they should.
- Build your order to the minimum in food, not in total. Fees and tip don't count.
- At checkout, check the Promotion line above the total. If it's missing, the code didn't take; read why before trying the next one.
Uber One: the free month and who gets it free
Uber One is $9.99 a month as of this writing and covers both Uber Eats ($0 delivery fee on orders over the minimum) and rides. It makes sense at two or more orders a month. Ways in without paying:
- One free month for anyone who hasn't had it. Set a reminder before it bills.
- Students get a discounted plan with a verified .edu.
- Some Capital One and Amex cards have included Uber One or monthly Uber Cash. Check your card's benefits page before paying for it.
Why Uber Eats says "not eligible"
In the order it usually turns out to be the reason:
- You've used Uber before. Rides count. Postmates counts. The account is your phone number, and a new email doesn't make a new account.
- Your card has paid Uber before. Even on a new number, a card Uber has seen will trip it.
- Under the minimum. $20 means $20 of food before fees.
- You're in the Uber app's food tab, not the Uber Eats app. Promotions sometimes don't carry across. Use the Uber Eats app.
- It expired overnight. Check the "checked" time at the top of this page.
