DoorDash is the app people search for most and the one with the fewest public codes that actually apply. I check every morning with a real order ready to go. This morning nothing public took, so the honest answer is below: the signup offer for new accounts, and the in-app deals that work for the rest of us. When a code applies, it goes in the table the same morning with the time.

The new-account offer attached at signup, no code to type
DoorDash puts its new-customer deal on the signup page rather than behind a code. Make an account, and the discount shows on the first order at checkout. The amount changes by city and by week, which is why I don't quote one here; whatever your signup screen says is what you'll get, and the promo line at checkout confirms it before you pay.
Fine print: New accounts only, one per phone number, card and delivery address. Minimums are food before fees. If the checkout line doesn't show the discount, the reasons are further down.

Nothing public applied this morning, which is the normal state for DoorDash. The codes on the big coupon sites are mostly recycled or expired, and I'd rather show you an empty table than a fake one. Something fail for you? Tell me which code and I'll retest it today. Readers catch dead codes faster than I do.
DoorDash promo codes for existing users
I'll be straight with you: DoorDash almost never publishes a code that works on an existing account, and the sites claiming otherwise are recycling the new-user offer. These are the things that do work on an account that's ordered before:
- The Offers tab. Open the app, tap Offers at the bottom. Restaurant discounts and pickup credits that are personal to your account and change weekly.
- The win-back deal. If you haven't ordered in a while, usually around a month, DoorDash tends to email a percentage-off code. It's the best existing-user offer there is, and it's worth waiting for.
- Pickup orders. Pickup skips the delivery and service fees. When DoorDash is running a pickup credit, it's cheaper than any code on a delivery order.
- DashPass through a card you already have. Some Chase cards have included DashPass free. Details in the DashPass section.

How to make a DoorDash promo code apply
- Add your food, then tap Checkout. Don't try to add the code from the restaurant page; the box isn't there.
- Scroll to Promo code, under the tip. Paste the code and tap Apply. The discount line shows up above the total if it took.
- If it says "not valid", read the five reasons below before trying another code. Nine times out of ten it's the minimum order or an old account.
DashPass: free trials and who gets it free
DashPass is $9.99 a month as of this writing, for $0 delivery fees on orders over the minimum. Whether it's worth it depends on one number: if you order more than a couple of times a month, it's close to paying for itself. Ways to get it without paying:
- A free trial for anyone who hasn't had one. Cancel from Account, then Manage DashPass, before it bills.
- Students get a discounted plan with a .edu email.
- Some Chase cards (Sapphire and Freedom have been on the list) include DashPass when you activate it from the card's benefits page. Check your card before you pay for it; this is the one most people miss.
Why your DoorDash promo code says "not valid"
In the order they usually turn out to be the reason:
- You're not a new customer. New-user offers check your phone number, card and address, not just your email. A second account on the same phone doesn't count.
- Order is under the minimum. The minimum is the food subtotal before fees and tip. $15 of food, not $15 at checkout.
- Wrong city. Some offers are region-locked. The error is the same, which is unhelpful.
- Pickup vs delivery. Delivery-only offers fail on pickup orders and the other way round.
- It expired this morning. Check the "checked" time on this page. If it's from yesterday, I haven't tested it today yet.
