Instacart promo codes that work todayOctober 27, 2026 · tested this morning

Groceries are where a code is worth the most, because the orders are bigger. A $15 code on a $50 Instacart order is 30% off. But "free delivery" on Instacart doesn't mean free, and I'll show you the fee line that still shows up. The code and the signup deal first, checked this morning with a real cart.

Best deal today · new customers

$0 delivery fees on your first 3 orders plus $15 off with WELCOME15

The delivery-fee deal is attached to signup, no code to type: make an account, and the first three orders of $10 or more show a $0 delivery fee. WELCOME15 is separate. I entered it under Account, then Promos and credits, and it took $15 off at checkout this morning.

Fine print: Signup deal: new accounts, $10 minimum per order, three orders, delivery only. The service fee and the in-store price difference stay; see the fee breakdown below. WELCOME15: applied this morning; if Instacart tells you it's for new customers only, that's the reason it didn't take on yours.

Every Instacart code I tested this morning

Links to the apps may earn me a small commission at no cost to you. It never changes which codes make this list.

One code and one signup deal this morning. Instacart codes tend to run a full month rather than a few days, so this list changes slower than the food apps. Something fail for you? Tell me which code and I'll retest it today. Readers catch dead codes faster than I do.

Instacart promo codes for existing customers

Instacart is the one app that actually does publish codes existing customers can use, usually for a specific store ("$10 off $50 at Costco") rather than everything. When I confirm one it goes in the table above. Beyond codes:

  • Coupons inside the app. Tap a product, look for the green "Coupon" tag. These are manufacturer coupons and they clip onto your order like at the store.
  • The Instacart+ free trial. $0 delivery on orders over the minimum, and a lower service fee. Details below.
  • Store-specific deals. Costco, Aldi and Kroger orders through Instacart often show their own "$X off $Y" in the Offers section.
  • Pickup. Some stores offer it at $0 delivery fee and a lower service fee. Worth a tap if the store's on your way.

How to make an Instacart promo code apply

  1. Open the app, tap Account, then Promos and credits, then Add promo code. Enter it here, before you check out. The checkout box works too but fails more often.
  2. Build the cart to the minimum in groceries, before fees and tip.
  3. At checkout, look for the green promo line above the total. If it's missing, check the store: many Instacart codes are store-specific.

Instacart+: the free trial and who gets it free

Instacart+ is $9.99 a month or $99 a year as of this writing: $0 delivery on orders over the minimum, a reduced service fee, and credit back on pickup. If you order groceries twice a month, it's close to paying for itself. Ways in without paying:

  • A free trial for anyone who hasn't had one.
  • Chase Sapphire Preferred and Reserve have included Instacart+ plus a monthly Instacart credit when activated from the card's benefits page. Check your card's current benefits; these change.
  • Some Mastercard World and World Elite cards include free months and a monthly discount. Same advice: check the benefits page before paying.

The fees a promo code doesn't remove

This is the thing I wish someone had told me. A "free delivery" deal removes the delivery fee line and nothing else. The service fee (a percentage of the order) stays. The in-app prices, which at most stores run above the shelf price, stay. The shopper tip is yours to set. So a $0-delivery order is cheaper, but it is not the in-store price with free delivery.

Still a good deal, especially with a dollar-off code stacked on it. But if you order groceries every week, Instacart+ lowers the service fee as well as the delivery fee, which is why it's often worth more than a code for regulars.

Why your Instacart code says "not valid"

  1. Wrong store. The number one reason on Instacart. A Costco code fails at Safeway.
  2. You're not new and the code is new-customer only. Address, phone and card are matched. Roommates at the same address count.
  3. Under the minimum in groceries, before fees.
  4. Pickup vs delivery. Most codes are delivery only.
  5. Expired. Instacart codes often end on the 15th or the last day of the month.

Codes that stopped working (and when)

Nothing died this week. When a code does, it goes here with the date, so you can see it was real and know not to bother.

Questions I get asked a lot

Is there an Instacart promo code for existing customers right now?

WELCOME15 applied this morning; whether it takes on your account depends on whether Instacart treats it as new-customer only. Store-specific codes for existing accounts show up often and go in the table when I confirm one.

Does "free delivery" mean the order is free of fees?

No. The service fee stays, and so does the in-app price difference. The fee section on this page explains what's left.

Can I stack a code with Instacart+?

Yes. The code takes money off groceries, Instacart+ handles delivery and lowers the service fee.

How often is this page updated?

Every morning before 9am Eastern, and during the day when a reader reports a dead code.
