Instacart promo codes for existing users: what actually works in October 2026
Instacart is kinder to existing customers than the food apps. Store-specific codes exist, in-app coupons clip like the paper kind, and a few credit cards include Instacart+. Here's where the money is on an account that's been ordering for a while.
1. Store-specific codes
Codes like "$10 off $50 at Costco" work on existing accounts. They fail at any other store, which is the number one reason Instacart codes say not valid. The ones I've confirmed are in the table on the Instacart page, with the time they were checked.
2. In-app coupons
Tap a product and look for the green Coupon tag. These are manufacturer coupons and they clip to your order like at the store. They're most common on packaged goods, cereal, yogurt and cleaning products.
3. The Instacart+ trial, and the cards that include it
A free trial if you've never had it. Some Chase Sapphire and Mastercard World cards have included Instacart+ or monthly credits; the benefits change, so check your card's page before paying for a membership. All of these work on existing accounts.
4. Pickup
Some stores offer pickup at $0 delivery fee and a lower service fee, and Instacart+ members get credit back on it.
What doesn't work
- The everything-store "existing customer" codes on the coupon sites. Usually expired or new-user codes with a different label.
- A second account at the same address.
