How I check codes

Every code on this site was applied, by me, to a real order, on the morning the page says it was. This is the routine.

The morning

  1. Before 9am Eastern, I open each app: DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, Instacart, Postmates, then Uber and Lyft.
  2. Two accounts per app. A fresh test account for new-customer codes, and my own old account for everything else. The test accounts use phone numbers and cards the apps have never seen; that's the only way to know a new-user code really works.
  3. A real cart. $20 to $40 of food (or $35 to $60 of groceries), because most codes have a minimum and I want to see the discount line, not a promise.
  4. Apply, screenshot, write it down. The time, what was in the cart, and what the app said. That's the "checked" column on every page.
  5. Dead codes stay visible with the date they died, in the collapsed section at the bottom of each page, so you can see they were real and know not to bother.

During the day

Readers send codes through the dead-code form. If one of mine failed for you, I retest it that day. If you found a new one, I test it before it goes up. A code a reader confirmed is marked that way.

What I don't do

  • Copy codes from other coupon sites. That's how the dead ones spread.
  • List a code I haven't applied.
  • Say "verified" without a time next to it.
  • Make a second account on the same phone to "test" new-user codes. It doesn't work, and it's against the apps' terms.

Offers change daily and the apps don't announce it. The time at the top of each page is the last test; if it's from yesterday, I haven't got to that app yet today.
