DoorDash promo codes for existing users: what actually works in October 2026

If you've had a DoorDash account for more than a month, you already know the problem. Every code you find is for "new customers", you paste it anyway, and it says not valid. As of this writing I don't have a single public DoorDash code that applies, for new or existing accounts, and the "existing user" codes on the big coupon sites are mostly recycled new-user codes with a new label.

So this post isn't a list of codes. It's the four things that take money off a DoorDash order on an existing account, and how each one works.

Short on time? Open the app, tap Offers. If there's nothing good, order pickup. If you haven't ordered in a while, wait for the win-back email before you order again.

1. The Offers tab is where the real existing-user deals live

DoorDash doesn't run public codes for existing accounts in any regular way. What it does instead is personal offers, which show up under the Offers tab at the bottom of the app. These are tied to your account, so you can't share them, and they're usually restaurant-specific percentage discounts or small credits. They change often, and they tend to get better if you haven't ordered for a while, which brings me to the next one.

2. The win-back email, if you can wait

Stop ordering for a few weeks and DoorDash will usually send an email with a come-back discount. It's personal to your account, it has a cap, and it expires quickly, so don't sit on it. For most existing customers this is the best offer DoorDash has, and it's worth more than anything on the coupon sites.

3. Pickup skips every fee

Switch the order to pickup and the delivery fee and the service fee both disappear. The service fee is a percentage of the subtotal, so the bigger the order, the more pickup saves. DashPass members have also been getting a small credit back on pickup orders as of this writing. If the restaurant is within ten minutes of you, pickup beats any code on a delivery order.

4. DashPass you already pay for without knowing

DashPass costs $9.99 a month as of this writing. Some Chase cards include it for a stretch, and you have to activate it from the card's benefits page, which is the step people skip. Check your card before you pay for it.

If you don't have one of those cards, DoorDash runs a free DashPass trial for accounts that haven't had one, and students get a cheaper rate with a school email. Is DashPass worth paying for?

What doesn't work (so you don't have to try)

  • "Existing user" codes from the coupon sites. They're recycled new-user codes. The code list on my DoorDash page started today, every entry on it is tried on a real account, and right now there's no public DoorDash code on it that applies.
  • Making a second account with a different email. DoorDash matches on phone number, card and address. It knows.
  • Referral codes from friends. Those only pay out if you're new.

If you also use Grubhub

That's the app where public codes are actually applying this week. GH25OFF took 25% off an order of $15 or more when I tested it this morning, and there are a couple of others on the Grubhub page. It's not a DoorDash fix, but if the same restaurant is on both apps, it's worth a look.

What this adds up to

Offers tab, pickup, a win-back email when it comes, and a membership you didn't pay for. None of them is a promo code, and together they're worth more than any public code is likely to be on an existing DoorDash account. If a real existing-user code ever shows up, it'll be on the DoorDash page the morning I confirm it.
