Starbucks promo codes that work todayOctober 29, 2026 · tested this morning
If you're searching for a Starbucks promo code, here's the answer up front: there isn't one. The Starbucks app has no promo code box, the cafés don't take codes, and Starbucks closed its online store in 2017, so the codes the coupon sites list have nowhere to go. The ones with a real home are Uber Eats or DoorDash codes for a Starbucks order, which belong on those pages. I went through the coupon sites and Starbucks' own Rewards terms on Oct 29 so you don't have to. What's actually worth money is below: the Rewards program as it works since the March 2026 refresh, free refills in the café, the personal-cup discount and double Stars, the birthday drink, Free Mod Mondays, and Red Cup Day on Nov 17.

Best deal today · everyone, in the app
Starbucks Rewards 1 Star per dollar, a free drink at 200, no code
Join in the app and every dollar earns a Star (1.2 at Gold, 1.7 at Reserve). 60 Stars is $2 off an item, 100 Stars covers a brewed coffee, tea or bakery item up to $6, 200 Stars a handcrafted drink or hot breakfast up to $10, 300 a packaged lunch or bag of coffee up to $16. Add your birthday for a free drink or food item on the day (a week's window at Gold, a month at Reserve). Reloading $30 or more onto the card adds 10 bonus Stars, $50 adds 25. The app's Offers tab is where Starbucks puts its real promotions, personalized, and that's the only place a "code" ever appears.
Fine print: Participating cafés; licensed kiosks in grocery stores and airports may earn Stars only on card payments or not at all. Stars at Green level expire six months after the month earned. Rewards don't combine with other offers. One account per person.
Every Starbucks code I tested this morning
Links to the apps may earn me a small commission at no cost to you. It never changes which codes make this list.
No public code applied this morning; the offer above doesn't need one. When a code works, it goes here with the time it was checked.
There's no table because there's no code. The coupon-site listings (COFFEE4U, JUSTFORYOU, LUCKY and the like) describe an online checkout Starbucks doesn't have; the "$3 off a handcrafted drink" one is an app offer, not a code. If Starbucks ever adds a code field, the first code I confirm goes here with the time I tried it. Something fail for you? Tell me which code and I'll retest it today. Readers catch dead codes faster than I do.
Starbucks deals for regulars
Everything here is for everyone, member or not unless it says so:
- Free refills. Hot or iced brewed coffee and tea, during the same café visit, at participating stores, for any customer since January 2025. Not cold brew, nitro, Refreshers or iced tea lemonade.
- Your own cup. 10 cents off, and double Stars for members, every time you bring a clean personal cup.
- Red Cup Day, Nov 17. A free reusable red cup with any seasonal drink at participating cafés, while they last; the cup then earns the 10-cent discount all season. The holiday menu itself (Tiramisu Velvet Latte, Peppermint Mocha, the rest) launches Nov 5.
- Free Mod Mondays. Members get one free customization a month, up to $2, on a Monday the app announces; not combinable with a Star redemption.
- Double Star Days. Gold members get four extra a year, Reserve six, on top of the ones Starbucks announces for everyone.
- Thursday BOGOs. Starbucks has run buy-one-get-one handcrafted drinks on Thursdays in past seasons, app-only, one per member a week. When one is on, it's in the Offers tab, not on a coupon site.
How Starbucks offers actually apply
- Open the app, tap Offers, and tap the offer to activate it before you order. Offers are personal to your account and most have a short window.
- Order in the app or scan your app barcode at the register. Guest checkout and gift cards bought in-store without the app earn nothing.
- Redeem Stars from the order screen; one reward per item, not combinable with an activated offer on the same item.
- There is no promo code box. If a page tells you to enter a code at starbucks.com, the page is describing a store that closed in 2017.
Starbucks Rewards
Free, in the app. Since March 2026 there are three levels by Stars earned in a year: Green under 500 Stars at 1 Star per dollar, Gold at 500 with 1.2, Reserve at 2,500 with 1.7. Redemptions start at 60 Stars for $2 off and run to 400 Stars for merchandise. Gold and Reserve Stars don't expire while you hold the level; Green Stars expire six months after the month they were earned, extended a month by any purchase or redemption. Link a Delta or Marriott Bonvoy account for miles or points on top.
Why your Starbucks offer didn't apply
- It's a coupon-site code. There is no field for it. Starbucks' only promotions are the ones in your app's Offers tab.
- You didn't activate it. App offers have to be tapped before the order, and many last hours, not days.
- Licensed store. Kiosks in grocery stores, airports and hotels may not honor Rewards, or earn Stars only on card payments.
- Two discounts on one item. A Star redemption and an offer don't combine, and Free Mod Monday doesn't combine with either.
- Guest checkout. No account at the order, no Stars, no offers.
Codes that stopped working (and when)
Nothing died this week. When a code does, it goes here with the date, so you can see it was real and know not to bother.
Questions I get asked a lot
Is there a Starbucks promo code?
No. The app has no code box and the cafés don't take codes; the codes on coupon sites are for delivery apps, overseas online stores, or an online store Starbucks closed in 2017. The real promotions are in the Offers tab of the app, personalized to your account.
How do I get a free Starbucks drink?
Join Rewards and earn 200 Stars, which is about $200 of orders at Green level and less at Gold; add your birthday for a free drink on the day; bring your own cup for double Stars; and watch the Offers tab for Double Star Days and BOGO Thursdays when they run.
When is Red Cup Day 2026?
Tuesday, November 17. A free reusable red cup comes with any seasonal drink at participating cafés while supplies last, and the cup earns the 10-cent personal-cup discount afterward.
